Carla Collis Designs was born out of the artist’s lifelong love of jewelry. As children, Carla and her sister were fascinated with their mother’s jewelry, spending countless hours playing dress-up with all the exciting pieces of “grown-up” jewelry. From those dress-up days, jewelry would become not only a means of accessorizing but also a way for Carla to express her personality and creativity. Today, you’ll find that her designs span a range of styles to evoke diverse moods and suit many occasions.

In 1998, when a friend suggested they stop into a bead store for their lunch-time outing, Carla made her first necklace on a whim. Little did she know that making that one piece would spark her passion for jewelry design! As she began perfecting her skills and creating one-of-a-kind, unique designs, family and friends took notice. Before she knew it, Carla had a long list of orders to fill…and the rest, as they say, is history.

Carla creates beautiful and unique handcrafted pieces that bring out the personality and natural beauty of the wearer. Her one-of-a-kind and limited edition pieces are designed using the finest of materials--semi-precious gems, Swarovski and Austrian crystals, Czech glass, shells as well as sterling silver, gold-filled and copper findings. Carla’s trademark is her skill in using unusual beads and findings in combinations that showcase their diverse textures, shapes and colors. Not only will her pieces be worn for many years to come, but they are also sure to receive many compliments along the way!
